Privacy Policy

Spark Fitment ("the app") is built and operated by Spark Shipping. This policy describes what data the app processes when a merchant installs it on their Shopify store, and what happens to that data over time.

Data we store

• Store information. Your store's .myshopify.com domain, store name, locale, plan, and an API access token Shopify issues so the app can read your product catalog. The token is encrypted at rest.
• Fitment data you provide. The vehicles (Year/Make/Model/Submodel/ Engine) you enter or import, and their mappings to your products and variants (Shopify product/variant IDs and SKUs).
• Anonymous usage analytics. When a shopper uses the vehicle selector on your storefront, the app records the selected vehicle and whether the selection led to an add-to-cart. These events contain no shopper identifiers — no names, emails, IP addresses, or cookies that identify a person.

Data we do not collect

The app does not collect, store, or process shopper personal data. It does not read customers, orders, or checkout information — its Shopify access is limited to reading products and theme structure.

Where data lives

Data is hosted on Google Cloud Platform (United States). Access is limited to Spark Shipping staff for support purposes.

Retention and deletion

• While installed: your data is retained so the app works.
• After uninstall: your fitment data is kept, encrypted, for 90 days so you can recover it by reinstalling. After 90 days it is permanently deleted.
• On a deletion request: when Shopify sends the shop-redact privacy webhook (48 hours after uninstall, or on your request), all of your data is permanently deleted immediately.

Privacy requests

The app implements Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. Customer data requests and customer redaction requests are acknowledged automatically — there is no shopper personal data to disclose or erase. Shop redaction requests trigger immediate, permanent deletion of the store's data.
